Privacy notice

Last updated 2026-10-17

This notice explains what happens to the details you give when you join the onether launch list on this website.

Who we are

[To complete: legal name of the person or company responsible] (“onether”, “we”) is responsible for your data. Address: [To complete: postal address]. Contact: [To complete: privacy contact email].

What we collect when you join

We don’t take payments on this website. Purchases happen in our Shopify store, which has its own privacy policy.

What we use it for

We use your details for these messages because you asked us to, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. We protect the form because we have a legitimate interest in keeping it free of abuse. We never sell your data or share it for other companies’ advertising.

How we protect the form

To stop automated spam, the form uses a hidden field, a short timing check and limits on repeated attempts. For those limits our server uses your IP address and email address only in scrambled (pseudonymised) form, in temporary counters that are deleted within about two days.

Our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc. in the United States) may keep short-lived technical logs of visits, such as IP addresses, to run and secure the website.

Cookies and storage on your device

After you join, your browser keeps a small note (a cookie named onether_joined and a local-storage entry named onether:joined) so the signup form doesn’t appear again. It contains no personal details, lasts up to a year, and you can delete it in your browser settings at any time. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.

Who can see your data

Only the onether team and the companies that run this service for us:

Your data is stored and processed in Germany (where the list is stored) and the United States (where the website’s servers run).

How long we keep it

We keep your signup [To complete: retention period]. Records of your consent choices are kept for as long as your signup, so we can show what you agreed to. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete your signup and those records together.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can object or withdraw your consent at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us at [To complete: privacy contact email]. We will answer within the time the law requires.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel) in Morocco. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also contact your local data protection authority.

Age

The list is for people aged [To complete: minimum age] and over.

Changes to this notice

When this notice changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you have already given us, we will tell you by email first.
